Minjung Kim

Minjun Kim is an Associate at BSKB specializing in all aspects of patent prosecution in the electrical and mechanical arts. Dr. Kim has experience in patent applications related to telecommunications including wireless communication, vehicular communication, multimedia transmission over the Internet, and computer software.

Prior to joining BSKB, Dr. Kim gained extensive experience working as a Primary Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) from 2014 until 2023. Previously, she worked as a US attorney in Seoul, Korea, preceded by her time as a Senior Engineer at Samsung Electronics Co. mobile division in Korea.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University in 1994, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, before earning her Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University in 1996. Dr. Kim then went on to earn her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003, followed by her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco in 2012.
