BSKB Partners Invited to Speak at Joint Seminar Hosted by UBIC Patent Partners in Tokyo, Japan
BSKB partners Marc Weiner, Rick Anderson and Chad Billings have been invited to lecture at a seminar hosted by UBIC Patent Partners in Tokyo, Japan on April 23, 2014. Mr. Hajime Shirasaka of UBIC Patent Partners will be both host and one of the speakers at the joint seminar.
The seminar topics will include:
- the proper test a district court must apply for awarding attorney fees in view the recent Supreme Court cases Octane Fitness, LLC v. Icon Health and Fitness, and Highmark Inc. v. Allcare Health Management
- the lengthy ongoing litigation regarding 101 eligible subject matter in Alice Corporation Pty. Ltd. v. CLS Bank International
- new Japanese IP Law
- the U.S. Supreme Court Myriad decision and the recently issued USPTO guidelines.
