Mr. Ferman is Of Counsel at BSKB and an experienced litigator. After receiving his J.D. in 2005, he clerked for one year for the Hon. Joan Zeldon, Presiding Judge over the Civil Division at the District of Columbia Superior Court. Since then, he has litigated over 70 cases around the country, including numerous cases that went to trial or were resolved at the summary judgment stage. Mr. Ferman has been involved in a number of patent infringement cases and is experienced in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions and briefing practice, taking and defending depositions, preparing witnesses to testify, trial participation and appeals.
In addition to litigating complex patent cases and trademark and copyright disputes, Mr. Ferman has represented criminal defendants and has experience with commercial, property and other civil disputes involving a variety of legal areas, including contracts, torts, fiduciary duties, malpractice and employment. Although he primarily practices in the federal district courts, he has represented clients in federal and state courts of appeals, state trial courts, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and other administrative agencies.
