Summer Patent Seminar Now Accepting RegistrationsFalls Church, VA, San Diego, CA - February 16, 2011 - Birch, Stewart, Kolasch & Birch, LLP (BSKB) has opened registration for the 29th Annual Summer Patent Seminar, which will be held June 11 - July 1, 2011 in Falls Church, VA. BSKB’s Summer Patent Seminar provides a comprehensive overview of the U.S. patent system including preparing, prosecuting, interpreting and enforcing patents. The program also covers more complex issues such as litigation and interference practice. Classes are taught by knowledgeable and experienced IP professionals and the seminar focuses on practical problems encountered in obtaining and enforcing U.S. patents. BSKB partner and Summer Patent Seminar chair Gerald M. Murphy, Jr. stated, “We are pleased that our Summer Patent Seminar is still meeting the needs of our clients and professionals in the IP field after 25 years. Our goal is to educate participants on the basic principles of U.S. patent law so that they can work more efficiently with U.S. patent counsel and obtain strong U.S. patents.” The seminar is beneficial to anyone who deals with the U.S. patent system on a regular basis. A typical seminar class is between 50 to 60 participants; about half of the attendees are foreign patent attorneys and the other half in-house individuals who work for major international technology companies. In addition to the academic component, the seminar’s schedule includes social events, tours, and a trip to the mountains of Western Maryland. For more information go to BSKB Summer Patent Seminar
