Experience
John Bailey has practiced in the intellectual property field since 1985. Mr. Bailey is experienced in opinion practice (validity, infringement, and due diligence), and in interference practice. He has extensive patent application preparation experience in the areas of organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry and biotechnology. Mr. Bailey also has extensive patent application prosecution experience in the areas of organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry and biotechnology, including the preparation of replies to USPTO correspondence (e.g., restriction requirements, office actions, etc.), the preparation of Appeal Briefs, and attending oral hearings before the USPTO Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. Mr. Bailey's experience includes a one year stay in Osaka, Japan (1999), counseling and training Japanese clients in U.S. patent law in the areas of Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology.
